Biography: Sonya Palmer is a PhD candidate at the School of Engineering. Her area of research is in integrated photonics, looking at designing integrated photonic lasers, that are wavelength tuneable, for applications in quantum physics. She is currently working in collaboration with industry partner MOGlabs, a company that specialising in scientific instrumentation particularly high-performance lasers and laser electronics.
